The 1998 Michigan Wolverines football team represented the University of Michigan in the 1998 NCAA Division I-A football season. The team's head coach was Lloyd Carr. The Wolverines played their home games at Michigan Stadium. The 1998 Wolverines finished the season with a 10¨C3 record (7¨C1 in the Big Ten) and defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks in the 1999 Florida Citrus Bowl. The Michigan Wolverines comprise 27 varsity sports teams at the University of Michigan. These teams compete in the NCAA's Division I and in the Big Ten Conference in all sports except women's water polo, which competes in the NCAA inter-divisional Collegiate Water Polo Association.
