The 2000¨C01 Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team was a Division I college basketball team that competed in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Under the leadership of All-American duo Shane Battier and Jason Jay Williams, coach Mike Krzyzewski's Blue Devils won their third national championship in program history.The Duke Blue Devils are the athletic teams that represent Duke University. Its 27 varsity teams compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The name comes from the French les Diables Bleus or the Blue Devils, which was the nickname given during World War I to the Chasseurs Alpins, the French Alpine light infantry battalion.
